Plaza de Los Tres Presidentes

its name it’s due to the fact that 3 former presidents of Mexico, were born here in Guaymas. This square display the sculptures that remember them.

(City Hall) Built in 1899, this building with its stone structure, is a symbol of the city.

With its emblematic monument to the fisherman facing Guaymas´bay, is the port most representative sculpture without a doubt.

Of neoclassical architecture, it was built in the 19th century in honor of the Patron Saint of the city, serves as the scenery for multiple events, it is the main Catholic temple of the city.

The history of Guaymas dates to 1539, when the explorer ships sent by Hernán Cortés, arrived at the bay of Guaymas. Captain Ulloa, who was in command, decided to give it the name of "port of ports", due to the good impression that this place gave to the navigators. However,  the City Council of the port considers August 31st., 1769 as the official date of the foundation of Guaymas as is. It is a place full of history; Visiting it is an experience that will be very enriching.

Estatuary,  protected natural area, where despite being a lagoon, it houses 85 different species of fish, more than 150 species of marine invertebrates and birds.

Cerro Tetakawi 

One of the most famous landscapes of the Sea of Cortez, with a height of 200 meters above sea level. Its name means "Stone Hill" in the Cahíta language, dialect of the Yaqui tribe.
